Concerned with the holy places, preserving the structures and welcoming the pilgrims and local Churches by means of liturgy. They have many social activities, which aim at supporting the Christian presence in the Holy Land: running schools, constructing housing and helping people who suffer from various form of poverty.
Franciscan International's vision is a global community built on Franciscan values, in which the dignity of every person is respected; resources are shared equitably; the environment is sustained; and nations and peoples live in peace. The ministry of Franciscans International at the United Nations flows from its Vision.
The 170 friars of St. John the Baptist Province (SJB), USA are members of the Order of Friars Minor, a Franciscan brotherhood inspired by the 13th-century example of St. Francis of Assisi. Globally, the Order is divided into geographic areas known as "provinces." Most of the Friars from SJB province, which has its headquarters in Cincinnati, live and work in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois, Louisiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Texas and Jamaica. Others serve in New Mexico, Arizona, Missouri and Washington, D.C.
Located along the Eastern United States, in 2000, the Holy Name Province created an Office for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation to help the Province and its ministries strengthen the quality and quantity of their JPIC programs. The Office takes its direction from the JPIC Directorate and the administration of Holy Name Province. In addition to province-wide initiative and action, the Office and its staff assist individual Province ministries as their JPIC needs arise.

The Order of the Capuchin Friars Minor: The job of the Office for Justice, Peace and Ecology is to help the General Minister and his Definitory in their service of evangelising the international Fraternity, and to assist the work of the Conferences and Provinces in the area of justice, peace and respect for creation.
Franciscans for Justice is a joint project of the O.F.M. Franciscan Friars of the St. Barbara Province and the Our Lady of Guadalupe Province. Franciscan Friars are a Roman Catholic religious community called and committed to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the prophetic spirit of St. Francis of Assisi. The Franciscan Action Network (FAN) is a collective Franciscan voice seeking to transform United States public policy related to peace making, care for creation, poverty, and human rights.
They are a grassroots organization amplifying the justice efforts of Franciscans and Franciscan-hearted people around the country.

Some of the Francophone regions of Canada are part of Service Intercommunautaire d'Animation Franciscan (SIAF). While SIAF is a joint entity of the larger Franciscain family including the OFS. JPIC is an important component of their work.
